Chris A. Johnson, J.D. is an insurance claims consultant and expert witness with more than 40 years of experience in insurance claims handling, claims management, litigation oversight, bad faith analysis, and extra-contractual exposure evaluation. Mr. Johnson has testified in both State and Federal Courts, providing sworn deposition testimony and live trial testimony on matters involving insurance claims handling, bad faith, coverage issues, litigation management, and industry standards and practices. Throughout his career, Mr. Johnson has served in senior claims, legal, and management roles with regional, national, and international insurers — including Nationwide, State Auto, and XL Insurance. His experience spans first- and third-party property and casualty claims, UM/UIM, excess and umbrella liability, Life & Health, reinsurance, catastrophe claims, litigation management, reserve analysis, coverage evaluation, and claims handling practices. Mr. Johnson has managed complex litigation and catastrophic claims involving Hurricane Katrina, environmental and toxic tort exposures, catastrophic transportation losses, and high-exposure liability matters. He is based in Columbus, Ohio.
